This is Good Thing, our wonderful 1.9.L unleaded petrol right hand drive 1989 Volkswagen T25, sometimes referred to as a T3 Campervan. We're only selling her as we have decided to specialise in the earlier Type 2 campers for our self-drive hire business, and need space for a lovely new (old!) stable-mate to complement our other three T2s.

First registered in March 1989, we believe Good Thing has lived in Norfolk ever since! The former owners of Retro Campers Norfolk acquired the van in November 2021, when they gave Good Thing a brand-new Teal and White livery, and very smart vinyl (but practical!) upholstery and colourful funky curtains, as part of a complete overhaul.  We acquired her in 2023 along with the Retro Campers business. She has only 114,500 miles on the clock, and since her refit in 2022 she's had a very quiet life, covering less than 2000 miles in 3 years.

With her original water-cooled 1.9 Litre Unleaded Petrol engine, and standard 4-speed gearbox, Good Thing drives more like a modern vehicle than her older T2 stable-mates. Smooth to drive, she cruises comfortably at 50 mph on country A/B roads and up to 60 mph on highways, perfect for family holidays for up to 4 people, but still exuding that cool retro vibe!

Good Thing has been regularly serviced and maintained by expert classic-vehicle mechanics during its time as a much loved Retro Camper. Easy and reliable driving and practical interior layout, including a 3-way fridge and heating which can run off gas as well as electric hook-up, means she's ready to roam wherever you'd like to take her!

We don't think you will find a camper that has been so well looked after, loved and admired by us as owners and our rental customers. These retro vehicles love to be used regularly, but also very importantly we keep our Retro Campers in de-humidified and heated storage to help maintain them in tip-top condition.
