Our Story

OUR STORY

Graham's first car in South Africa was a 1968 VW Beetle - that is where his love of the VW classics started!

Graham  and Vicky hired Penny Lane in June 2014 for their Wedding Anniversary and absolutely loved the experience, travelling into Suffolk for the first time.

They loved the slow, relaxed freedom of driving and "glamping" in Penny Lane.

They loved it so much they bought one of Retro's campervans called Boogie Nights in September 2014 and their adventures continued.

Boogie Nights was a left hand drive Westfalia from California with a fabulous awning.

This was a family holiday along the North Norfolk coast... can't believe we got so much packed in!

In December 2019, Simon and Hannah’s plans to emigrate to Australia became a reality and they approached Graham and Vicky about the prospect of buying the business.

It was just the nudge they needed and in January 2020, the deal was done. Graham and Vicky became the new owners of the Retro Campers Norfolk business and 3 wonderful 1975 VW campervans; perfect for the rental market.
